Heritage Store believes in knowing where products are sourced from and in working to improve the world we live in. This mission comes to life in our minimal ingredient products with nature-inspired elements like rose, magnetized Vor-Mag water, and our much-loved Castor Oil. But like anything great, this is only the beginning. We plan on aligning ourselves with causes we care about and exploring ways to take the guesswork out of your self-care rituals.
All of that is why we are so excited to announce a collaboration called The Haitian Women’s Cooperative with Haitian-American Founders Michelle Elie and Michaelle Auguste St. Natus, who have backgrounds in beauty and product development and will be running the Cooperative in Haiti to source our pure Black Castor Oil.
The primary goals in this co-op are to produce high-quality Black Castor Oil, while creating employment opportunities for women inhabitants of Haitian villages like Freta and Ravin Sèch. We are committed to helping Haitian women obtain employment, while having a positive impact on the environment at the same time.
Heritage Store has always been passionate about soul-to-skin ingredients as well as soul-to-skin initiatives, and the Haitian Women’s Cooperative fully embodies the work we value.
This is just the beginning, so keep an eye on this space and our Instagram account for more about this initiative.
